For ten weeks during the summer of 2006 Claire Barber was artist-in-residence on Conwy Estuary. The residency was the first stage in an eighteen-month long art project set up to complement a large development scheme run by Conwy County Borough Council to create the Conwy Estuary Strategic Route, a path and cycleway improving access along the banks of the estuary.

The aim of the residency was to engage with local people and visitors to the area, and to initiate research and development of themes and ideas, for inspiration for a series of commissioned artworks to be made for the new route.

Designed by View Creative with writing by Claire Barber and Robert Lowe, this beautiful publication, which documents the residency was nominated for the Cardiff Design Festival Awards 2008.
